Cephalon to Match Employee Contributions to Aid Earthquake Relief in Haiti
The earthquake that rocked Haiti January 12 has killed thousands and demolished homes, hospitals and schools. Recovery from this disaster will require enormous resources and the need for donations is great. To help meet that need, Cephalon is responding to the earthquake disaster by encouraging its employees worldwide to contribute to disaster relief efforts which will be matched dollar-for-dollar, and is preparing product donations to help meet the needs of those affected by the earthquake. The company match will be made to the American Red Cross International Response Fund.
Cephalon employees have provento be very generous and we applaud and support their efforts to help those in need around the globe,” said Cephalon Chairman and CEO Frank Baldino, Jr., Ph.D.
Cephalon has demonstrated its commitment to global humanitarian efforts by assisting in major relief efforts, such as those following the tsunami in Southeast Asia, the earthquake in Pakistan and Kashmir, and Hurricane Katrina.
