THE PARTNERSHIP FOR A DRUG-FREE AMERICA
Cephalon Supports The Partnership for a Drug-Free America
Cephalon commercializes several types of medications for the management of pain. For those patients who truly need them, these products are immensely valuable. We recognize, however, the potential for young people to misuse and abuse these products for reasons other than those intended. As such we at Cephalon take seriously our corporate responsibility to help mitigate these risks.
We continuously seek ways to inform patients, healthcare professionals, and parents, about our products, and risks of their abuse and diversion. Our work with The Partnership for a Drug-Free America is an important part of this effort.
Cephalon is supporting The Partnership’s initiative to create an educational fact sheet designed for parents of teenagers to help them learn more about this growing problem– bad behavior good medicines – a critically important issue since most of those who abuse prescription medications start in their teen years and begin doing so at home.
